What to Expect From a Custom Board
Today many skimboard companies offer what they refer to as a “custom board”. Unfortunately, when you order your “custom skimboards” you won’t be ordering it from a “shaper” who is deeply connected to your special needs in any of the critical categories of its creation. Generally, you can choose size, color, thickness, specify fibers, resin and maybe even a rocker type and some artwork.
"Nine times out often the board ultimately gets lost in translation to whoever actually makes it and the result is often frustration. These boards may be considered custom to some degree but are certainly not tailored."
When
you order a Roush custom tailored skimboard you are dealing with a
veteran master shaper/builder who is focuses on every detail of your
order. Roush boards reflect the work of a person highly capable of
meeting and surpassing virtually any creative demand.
Interviews often last over an hour to place your order in detail. Attempting to give birth to anything new or unique is risky when dealing with the generic manufacturing of most skimboard companies, where no particular “person” is accountable for the accuracy of your “custom order”.
Roush Creations is highly evolved in this respect and offers a rare treat of true “super-custom” boards. The real art is alive in Santa Cruz. Rockers and concave can be altered and tuned in the Roush heat treating kilns at any time during their life span, guaranteeing the perfect ride for any environment, taste or riding style - only at Roush Creations!

Rasta Pro 51”. The best all around pro skim for every condition from shore pound to liners to side waves. Large or small waves, even ground-tech, the Rasta turns on a dime, planes like a bullet and “pops” like a trampoline (like all Roush concave skimboards)
Gary Velo Pro Model

The Morpheus 51.5”. The Morpheus is the competition surfboard of skims. Designed for power and heavy conditions, it gives the feeling of invisible fins. Allows for top to bottom maneuvering previously known only in surfing performance. Holds a rail effortlessly in huge barrels. Planes like magic and launches big air easily. Morphed from the “Veggie Pro” and “Egg Tech”.
Cole Kerby Pro Model

Jr. Super Pro 46”. The baby brother of the Rasta Pro, the Jr. Pro is a masterpiece for the groms. It carries riders up to 5’10” easily and handles any pro-level conditions. Outstanding for all new school tech and hard-core power skimming.
Schuyler Rose Pro Model
Spearhead 48”. The spearhead is for the young ripper training to turn pro. Lightning fat and whippy, this board adds speed and distance to its predecessor, the Jr. Pro. Drives like mad and launches high for all ambitious moves. Turns tight and quick in the pit.
The U.F.0. 49”
The U.F.O. is a magic board that can carry Jr. Pros on up to large riders. This boards drives out to amazing distances and accelerates unexplainably. Heavy concave adds huge lift to all airs giving this board its name. The Roush outline for extremely controlled turns.
Ryan Parola Pro Model
“The Seeker” 50 3/4”. Outline derived from the famous Roush skimboard that helped explode kite-skimming over the last five years. The Seeker has a central wide point and reverses like silk. Very surfy and smooth turning, this board does it all with great ease, planing very well and turning tight in the pit. Carves deeply on turns. Tech A+
Eric Roush #2 Pro Model
The “Egg Tech” 52”. Developed extensively with the help of one of the most skillful tech/style masters in the sport, the Egg Tech glides, planes, floats, carves and launches with unmatched fluidity. Built to launch shove-its and airs like a trampoline, land cleanly and transition into whatever the wave brings next, this board enhances style in the rider, opens the mind and lives in the tube.
The TBLEX07 Supernatural” 51.5
The board that Roush designed for himself. The fruit of decades of trial and error, the Supernatural is the board often described as “cheating” by onlookers. This board has the heaviest full length concave ever. If you ride this you will never want to ride anything else. The fastest, loosest, most magical board ever made on Earth - like being towed!
Jesse Helm/Julien Deline
The Aliso 52.5”. This is the version of the Supernatural for very steep slope conditions with sharp transitions like Cabo, Aliso, 3rd Ave. or Panthers, etc. 2 1/2” of rocker with a bit less frontal concave make transitions, sloppy takeoffs and VooDoo-bumps a breeze. Quick gouges into sudden pits are made easy. Extra length and less tail rocker help keep good drive.
Eric Roush #3 Pro Model
The Chameleon 48”-52”. This renowned double ended pintail is for all types of skimming. Also: kiting, wakesurfing/tow-ins. Surprisingly effective and provocative, this modern design blows doors and minds in sidewaves, shore pound and liners.
